What is Hypnosis?

Close your eyes and imagine the last time you were doing something you really enjoyed. Imagine it in as much detail as possible. Can you remember the sounds, smells and feelings? Now open your eyes. What you have just experienced was a very light form of hypnosis.

Hypnosis occurs naturally when you daydream, watch TV, concentrate while reading a book, etc. It is a natural process of entering a state of deep relaxation.

Hypnotherapy

Is the use of hypnosis to help individuals overcome somatic and psychological conditions. It feels like a very pleasant state of physical and psychological relaxation, which is in itself very beneficial for people that experience symptoms that are aggravated or were induced by stress and anxiety.

Hypnosis provides us the 'link' between our Conscious and Subconscious mind, and Hypnotherapy becomes the tool to 'reprogram' and overcome unwanted behaviours and feelings.

Regression Therapy

Regression is the recalling and reliving of past events and memories that are stored in the subconscious part of your mind. Regression therapy allows you to become aware of the negative content of past events, enabling your mind to solve problems and help you overcome distressing emotions. Change starts to take place and you gain control over your life.

Suggestive Therapy

Your subconscious mind is highly receptive to suggestion. This enables the Hypnotherapist to suggest new attitudes, lifestyle changes, etc. A CD recording is given to every client in order to reinforce the suggestions given at the therapy session.

Hypnotherapy can help with the following conditions

Anxiety and stress, depression, fears and phobias, smoking cessation, panic attacks, building self-confidence and self-esteem, weight management, childbirth, job interviews, exams, childhood trauma, grief, concentration and focus...And many, many more...

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I be hypnotized?

Studies concluded that we go into a physiological altered state of consciousness similar to hypnosis about every 90 minutes. This might be when you daydream, read a book, drive your car or drift off to sleep.

What does Hypnosis feel like?

It feels like a wonderful physical and psychological relaxation. Some clients describe it as being inspiring and emotionally fulfilling.

Will I lost control during the session?

No, you will gain control. No-one can hypnotise you against your will and you cannot be forced to do or say anything while under hypnosis that you do not wish to do.

Can I get stuck in a trance?

NO. Everyone goes in and out of a trance several times a day. The most that could happen is that you would drift into a normal relaxed sleep.

Will I remember everything from the sessioin?

YES. Some people are surprised to remember what has been said at the session. Remember that hypnotic trance is one of heightened awareness, not diminished awareness.

Is hynotherapy safe?

When carried out by a professionally qualified hypnotherapist, it is very safe and free from any unwanted side-effects. The benefits can be long-lasting and permanent.

How many sessions will I need?

Working with the subconscious mind is a powerful process which usually produces results within a short period of time. Clients normally feel some positive changes within one or two sessions, although this can vary greatly from client to client. As a general guideline a course of hypnotherapy may take an average of 3 to 5 sessions.
